Requirements

TwoHomes requires iPhone or iPad running iOS 17.0 or later, and an internet connection to sync with your co-parent.

Getting Started

  1. Create an account with your email address, or sign in with Google.
  2. Add your children so schedules and expenses can be tracked per child.
  3. Set up your custody schedule to define your rotation.
  4. Set up your payment schedule for child support, alimony, and how you split shared expenses.
  5. Invite your co-parent using an invite code, so you both see the same information.

Linking With Your Co-Parent

How invite codes work

TwoHomes generates an invite code for your account. Your co-parent enters that code in their app to link the two accounts. Once linked, you share custody schedules, calendar events, expenses, payments, and the activity feed.

To share your code

Go to More → Settings → Co-Parent. Your invite code appears there with a Copy button. Send it to your co-parent however you like.

To enter your co-parent's code

Go to More → Settings → Co-Parent and tap Enter Partner's Code. You can also do this during onboarding when you first sign up.

"Invalid or expired invite code"

Each invite code can only be used once. If your co-parent's code has already been used, or if it was typed incorrectly, you'll see this message. Ask them to open Settings and send you the code currently shown there. Codes are not case-sensitive, but every character matters.

You cannot link with yourself

Entering your own invite code will not work. Make sure you are entering the code from your co-parent's account, not the one displayed in your own Settings.

Unlinking

Go to More → Settings → Co-Parent and tap Unlink Partner. This removes the connection for both of you. Shared records that were already created are not deleted.

Subscription and Billing

What it costs

TwoHomes Premium is $49.99 per year, and new subscribers start with a free month. You will not be charged during the free month, and you can cancel any time before it ends at no cost.

Each parent needs their own subscription

Subscriptions are billed per parent, not per family. Your co-parent will need their own subscription on their own Apple Account to use the app. Linking with a subscribed co-parent does not give you access.

How much of my free trial is left?

A banner on the Home screen shows the days remaining and the date of your first charge. You can also see your status and renewal date under More → Settings → Subscription.

Cancelling

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. Tap Manage Subscription under More → Settings → Subscription, or go to the iOS Settings app → tap your name → Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.

I subscribed but the app still asks me to pay

Tap Restore Purchases on the subscription screen, or under More → Settings → Subscription. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you used to subscribe. If it still doesn't work, email us.

Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple, so we cannot issue refunds directly. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you believe you were charged in error, email us and we'll help you sort it out with Apple.

"There's a billing problem"

Apple could not charge your payment method. Update your payment details in the iOS Settings app → tap your name → Payment & Shipping. You keep access while Apple retries.

Notifications

TwoHomes sends notifications for schedule changes, swap requests, new expenses, and upcoming payments. If you aren't receiving them:

If you declined the notification prompt when you first installed the app, the only way to re-enable it is through the iOS Settings app.

Common Questions

My co-parent's changes aren't showing up

TwoHomes syncs through the internet. Check your connection, then pull down to refresh or reopen the app. Confirm you are still linked under More → Settings → Co-Parent.

Can I change the custody schedule after setting it up?

Yes. Open the Custody tab to adjust your schedule, apply one-off overrides for specific days, and request swaps with your co-parent.

How do swap requests work?

You request a change for a specific date and your co-parent approves or declines it. Approved swaps update the schedule for both of you. Past requests are visible in your swap history.

Can I get a record of custody or payments for court?

Yes. Open More → Reports to generate custody and payment reports that you can save or share.

I forgot my password

Tap Forgot Password on the sign-in screen and we'll email you a reset link. If you originally signed up with Google, use the Sign in with Google button instead; there is no separate TwoHomes password on that account.

Can I use TwoHomes if my co-parent won't?

Yes. You can track schedules, expenses, and payments on your own. Shared features such as swap requests and the activity feed require a linked co-parent.
